Welcome
We are so glad you’ve chosen to live in Arbor. Our community is under development and each month we will send out a newsletter via email to update residents on what’s going on in the neighborhood, or remind you about rules, and share information. Please reach out to Kristen Lyons should you have any questions.
Common Area Landscaping
The common areas have encountered challenges this season, primarily due to irrigation system failures and lawn pests. We acknowledge these concerns and are working with the landscapers to enhance the community’s condition.
Lawn Pests & Maintenance
Are you meticulously tending to your lawn, and it still struggles? In Idaho, common lawn pests such as billbugs, white grubs, and chinch bugs could be the culprits behind your lawn’s distress. These pests peak in activity during August, damaging grassroots and require vigilant pest management for a healthy lawn. The link provided below contains an article on treating and managing lawn pests.
During community inspections, the prevalence of weeds and dry grass is notable throughout the community. Maintaining your lawn is not only required but also a neighborly duty, as weeds like dandelions spread easily to adjoining properties. Neglected lawns not only impact your neighbors, but also diminishes the aesthetics of the community overall.
Holiday Lighting
Summer has flown by, kids are back in school and, before you know it, the holiday season will be here. We are already seeing companies advertise their lighting services, attracting homeowners with early installation discounts and extra savings for those willing to display promotional yard signs. A reminder, both services being offered to homeowners violate the community guidelines below:
- Holiday decorations may be installed 30 days prior to the holiday and must be removed within 30 days after the holiday.
- No yard signs are permitted.
Fall Garage Sale
Save the date! The fall garage sale is on Saturday, September 13th.
Pedestrian Safety
The kids are back to school and walking to and from the bus stops. Parents and caregivers, help your youngsters understand the importance of bicycle and street crossing safety. Motorists, reduce your speed while driving in the community and be vigilant of youngsters biking, walking and playing.
Parking Reminders
Street parking is an ongoing issue in the community. Your garage is to be used for parking automobiles first before storage or anything else. Cars are to be parked in the garage first, before using the driveway. Street parking is only allowed if the garage and driveway are full of automobiles. If you observe a pedestrian or vehicle safety hazard created by cars parked on the street, please call Caldwell Code Enforcement at (208) 454-7531 or submit a report online via the link below.
Garbage Totes
We are receiving consistent complaints about garbage totes left at the curb or stored against homes. Totes should be placed at the curb the evening prior to collection then retrieved the same day. To maintain aesthetic standards, totes must be concealed from view, stored behind a fence or within a garage.
Pet Reminder
When strolling with your furry companion, dogs must be leashed to prevent unwelcome interactions with others while adhering to leash laws. As responsible pet owners, it’s your responsibility to clean up after them. Nobody wants to step on an unpleasant mess in the community’s common areas.
